It’s Sunday so you must be wondering what the next week will bring….

Hello all!

As I said before, I hope that everyone has had a wonderful weekend and has been enjoying this fantastic weather. Personally, I hate cold weather so spring cannot come fast enough!

This week we’re going to be finishing up with Animal Farm and next week we’ll start working on the essay that’s going to tie everything together. We will begin discussing the essay in class and we’ll spend plenty of time discussing how to write the best academic paper possible.

Monday we’ll finish up (or start in the case of 2nd period) our lesson onanimal farm propaganda. You’ll have to read chapter 9 for homework but after that no more out of class reading!

Tuesday we’ll discuss the events of in chapter 9 before finishing up Animal Farm all together as a class. I think you guys will really enjoy the ending of the novel. I know I do!

Wednesday we’re going to have another Round Table Discussion. I know I certainly enjoyed the last one and several of you have been asking when we’re going to do another one and now you know! Round Table Discussions provide a great way to really piece everything together and discuss exactly what George Orwell set out to do when he wrote Animal Farm.

Thursday we’ll review for your Animal Farm test, which is Friday. That’s right TEST ON FRIDAY. I promise this test will not be difficult if you have kept up with the readings and the Round Table Discussion and review on Thursday will definitely help clear up any confusion. This test will have some multiple choice questions and a lot of short answer questions. There will also be some questions dealing with the Russian Revolution and propaganda. Remember you can use the notes you took over the Russian Revolution presentations so I hope you have them somewhere safe!

We will start every day with D.E.A.R. time so please do not forget to bring your book and reading log to class EVERY DAY. If you have already finished your first book (good for you!) find another one you want to read. You can pick which book you want to do your ABR project on.

Looks like another busy week! Don’t forget TEST ON FRIDAY!

I look forward to seeing everyone on Monday

-Miss Pace
