What’s Up this Week?

Hello to all!

Did everyone stay nice and dry this weekend? The weather was so crazy! It was good staying in bed with a great book weather.

So what do we have on our plate for this week? WellRomeo and Juliet of course!

Monday we’re going to finish up with Act Three, Scene One. We’ll be looking at two different versions of the fight scene and compare and contrast them. In second period, we’ll be taking a close look at Benvolio’s explanation to the Prince.

Tuesday (and possibly Monday, depending on the time) you guys will read through different scenes in Act Three in groups and then teach those scenes to the class! I’m looking forward to being the student for once!

Wednesday you’ll take a test over Act Three. This test will be different from the two test before because it will only feature written responses. I have nothing but confidence that you will all do spectacularly.

Thursday you’ll finally get the chance to read out loud (and, if you’re feeling particularly brave…maybe even do a little bit of acting!). In groups, you’ll present different scenes of Act Four to the class and once again you’ll be leading the discussion of these scenes. I can’t wait to see if we have any budding thespians in our class!

Friday we’ll finish up with any scenes and discussions that we still have to go through. That means you’ll be looking at taking a test over Act Four on Monday (a week from tomorrow -May 6th)

Just like with last week, we’ll be doing vocab. Unit 10 will be the last unit that we work on (I know you will all be dreadfully sorry to say goodbye to your find vocabulary). You will have a test on Friday.

Mr. Woodall will also be leading EOCT review this week and next week as well.

If you have any questions, don’t worry we’ll cover everything in class!

I look forward to seeing you all tomorrow!

-Miss Pace
